Peel's aviation interests include four airports across the North of England and a heliport at City Airport Manchester. Peel has invested more than £250 million in airports and associated infrastructure – our key airports are Liverpool John Lennon, Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield and Durham Tees Valley.
Our investment in Liverpool John Lennon Airport has helped grow passenger numbers 10-fold from 450,000 in the mid-1990s and the airport is a key driver of the economies of both Merseyside and the wider North West of England.
Better infrastructure is critical too. At Robin Hood Airport, the Finningley and Rossington Regeneration Route Scheme (FARRRS) link road, due to open early in 2016, will see journey times to the airport dramatically improved. City Airport and Heliport in Manchester is a general aviation and business airfield with approximately 50,000 movements a year, supplemented by a VIP helicopter charter service.
The Peel Group works in partnership with a wide range of organisations both public and private. The variety of sectors within which we operate offer potential investment opportunities for like-minded businesses and investors.
